We partner with local communities, resorts, and small businesses so that people doing hands-on projects — planting trees, restoring reefs, running health clinics — are welcomed back with real discounts at the restaurants, hotels, and shops that make up the local economy. Service and tourism reinforce each other instead of competing.
It starts in Bocas del Toro, Panama, where The Panama Project has already proven the model across coral restoration, reforestation, clean water, and community health — and it's built to be replicated everywhere our partner network operates.

Rethink Your Drink at Bocatorito School
On 6 August 2026 our volunteers travelled by boat to Bocatorito school in Dolphin Bay, Bocas del Toro, one of the island communities with no road access. Alongside fluoride treatments and oral health supplies from Ayuda International, the team brought the Oral Hygiene Initiative sugar boards and soda posters, and showed approximately 65 children how much sugar is hiding in the drinks they buy every day.
It is a simple idea that travels well. A volunteer, a printed board, and a classroom of children who have never seen their favourite drink measured out in spoonfuls of sugar. The posters stay on the wall after the boat leaves.
